Hello! I'm Mahsa

I began my journey as an Android developer during my Bachelor’s studies, working in a small game studio where I wrote Java code, fixed bugs, and shipped features. Because our team didn’t have a UI/UX designer, I naturally started redesigning small screens and improving user flows.

A turning point came when I redesigned the onboarding flow and saw user drop-offs decrease after release. That experience showed me how design could solve real user problems and sparked my interest in UX.

Design became my language

After moving to Germany, I continued growing as a designer. At UNOWN, I worked across the product, improving user flows, dashboards, and running A/B tests while creating sitemaps, journeys, wireframes, and presentations. I learned how to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build consistent design systems.
Later, at dab and during my Master’s thesis at Fraunhofer IIS, I redesigned a complex industrial CT scanner software. Through user interviews and the Double Diamond framework, I created a beginner-friendly mode that improved clarity, confidence, and efficiency for new users in a highly technical environment.

Why UX?

For me, UX design is about helping people.
My developer background helps me understand technical systems, while my design experience helps me understand users—their needs, frustrations, and workflows.

I enjoy turning complexity into clarity and making products feel intuitive and empowering.

Moving forward

I want to keep building products that make complex technology easier and more accessible. I’m excited to collaborate with thoughtful teams, create intuitive experiences, and continue learning how design can improve everyday interactions.
